A space for participants to build upon their innate ability express vocally through guided improvisation and co-created harmony.
In this 2 hour workshop we will explore:
the qualities of inner and outer listening
aligning the voice with movement and felt sensing
anchors that allow us to harmonise intuitively
guided vocal improvisation accessible to all voices
Vox Chops: Barbershop
Put on your straw hat and grab a cane for this intensive workshop, led by Vox Chops jazz choir’s musical director Jolene Moran. Singers will experience the spine-tingling overtones of 4 part close harmony, learn classic tags and one full barbershop song. Ability to sight-sing helpful but certainly not a must - if you’ve got a good ear, learn fast and love jazz harmony, this one’s for you!
